For a time, Lan Wangji remains silent, working his way methodically up the length of Magnus' hair. His own hair is considerably longer, and so is Wei Ying's; he has more than enough practice at completing this task with as little painful tugging or snarling as possible. It is meditative, in a way, and at length, he says, "Hair must be combed daily."
