The first thing Magnus does -- with Alex's help -- after fully healing is board up the hole in the side of the greenhouse where the cheetah ran through. The second thing, once he learns the full scope of Dark (it's different at camp; he'd already taken out a ton of camp-appropriate food for when Galahad and Laertes couldn't make it out there, and so he and Alex have been fine on the eating front) is go to the greenhouse again to figure out what plants in there yield edible produce. (Also, he tries to scrub his blood off the table. It... partially works?)

Partly it's that he's still feeling weird after the whole affair. The season doesn't help, but he does feel closer to his own mortality than pretty much any point since he died for real the first time. Being around growing plants helps that. Mostly, though, it's because he doesn't want anyone to get, like, scurvy living on bushels of rice alone.

He doesn't want to overtax any of the plants, but some can be cajoled into fruiting. Right now, he's got his hand on a kumquat tree, and he's trying to convince it that it can speed up the growth process by a few weeks. Drosera is with him, 'helping:' she's found a dead leaf, and she's chasing it down the pathway between some plants. If anyone shows up -- either because they've heard of his near-death experience and want to check in on him, or just to hang out, or even because they're drawn by the way it looks like sunlight is coming from the greenhouse itself -- he'll be glad for the company.

"You can invite as many people as you want. I think that traditionally you can't invite Claudius? But I also kinda think, like, new world, new rules. We can decide what they are."

"Then Enjolras too. And Laertes."

[summerdude]

"Lan Wangji, Gideon, Gu Xiang, Shen Yuan, Tress, Enjolras, and Laertes," Magnus repeats, committing each name to memory. "And you and me. And Alex, to be the entertainment? Anyone else?"

"Susan," seriously. "And SecUnit."

"And Susan and SecUnit." Magnus had no idea that Galahad was close enough to Susan to want to invite her to a party like this! "Gotcha. Do you know when the wedding is going to be yet?"

[onthewillowsthere]

"In the spring. When things are growing."

[summerdude]

"I think we should have your party in the spring, too. Earlier spring of course, but still spring. So it's warmer out."

[onthewillowsthere]

He nods. "I would like that."

[summerdude]

Magnus grins, then stretches, cracking his back. "Cool," he says. "I think I'm done with this for now."

He takes one more kumquat. "Do you think Nightingale could transform me into a cat?"

[summerdude]

"Nightingale?" It takes Magnus a moment to place the name. "Talent show guy? Oh right, he did say something about magic." He blinks. "You wanna be a cat?"

"I want to visit Mothwing."

[summerdude]

"Oh, cool," Magnus says, immediately. "I wish Alex could teach other people how to shapeshift but that's, like, -- not possible. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask if he can? Just be sure to ask if he can change you back, too. Unless you want to stay a cat. I could still talk to you if you did but it might make getting married a little more difficult."

"If God would not bless the union of two men He surely would not bless a man and a cat."

"I can think of some gods who would," Magnus says, thoughtfully. "Hey. Who's, like, officiating? Do you know?"

"Claudius asked Dionysus."

[summerdude]

"Another god who would probably bless a cat union," Magnus says, thoughtfully.

[onthewillowsthere]

"He signs."

[summerdude]

"He does? He never told me that."

Galahad signs Dionysus, with the swingy hand. His name. Dionysus, and he repeats it.

Dionysus, Magnus repeats. Did I tell you we got stuck in a closet together?

[onthewillowsthere]

No, with a slight frown and a shake of his head.

[summerdude]

It was weird. He's okay for a god though, I guess.

[onthewillowsthere]

Why didn't you like him? Because he's a god?

He asked me if I was one of his kids.
