Predictably, Claudius quite likes the coy version. He likes the way it feels in his fingers, a small, deliberate hint before it unfolds into the full gesture. He copies it both ways, keeping an eye on Magnus as he does so -- both to judge whether he's copying it correctly, and because it feels like part of the communication.
