It's Dark now, and Magnus has been preparing. He doesn't want Sunny to get bored or to feel the pervasive lack of the month, and so he's been squirreling away the necessary items for fun. It's not a surprise activity — Sunny has been on board since the very beginning, helping pick out exactly what they need to make it truly exceptional — but it does have a very intensive prep.

Finally, about a week into the month, they reach a point of cabin fever where the time seems right. It's not so intense that they're truly cranky, but they're definitely both in need of some diversion. Apu's cold is waning, and Far's isn't very advanced, and so Sunny allows that she can take a break from playing nurse (a word which here means verrrry carefully but verrrry insistently bringing them both cup after cup of water) to play Halloween instead.

And so, equipped with a closet full of costumes and an enormous basket, they start their rotation of Every Single Door In The Mansion (And All Other Non-Mansion Buildings Where People Live). Magnus knocks loudly, Sunny at his side, poised to say the magic words.

Halloween! In... May. When tagging in, please just get your character to the point of opening the door: we're going to describe Magnunny's costumes in our first tags!

"Tell SecUnit about what kind of monster you are," Magnus urges.

"I'm a godzillo!" Sunny says before taking this opportunity to tackle Magnu. "Raaaa!"

SecUnit leans back slightly, unsure how to respond to this. "Okay."

Magnus, of course, starts staggering around. "Oh no... The Godzilla is going to climb me and try to tear me down..." He pauses. "Have you seen any godzilla movies, SecUnit? Or should Sunny explain?"

“Godzillo is a big dinosaur monster that stomps over buildings!” she explains helpfully.

It nods in understanding. "Like the Mandor Beast, but for planets."

"Oooh, I don't know that one. I'm guessing it's a big dinosaur monster that stomps over spaceships?"

"You think Godzillo or Manda Beast win in a fight?"

"I don't know. It's got tentacles and stuff." Monsters are essentially just giant hostile fauna, and the only fights it cares about are the ones it has to participate in. "And it lives in space, which is how you know it's imaginary."

"So," Magnus says to Sunny, "I guess it depends on if Godzilla can go into space or not."

"Bet Godzillo can go wherever." Oh, wait, Sunny has a job right now! "Win, you want trick or treat?"

"Uh." Blank expression intensifies. "What's the difference?"

"Well, a treat is nice. And a trick involves a little trickery."

"Is one of them a food item?" dubiously.

(Sorry, Sunny. Win is just allergic to fun sometimes.)

"No!" They prepared for Win. "I already eated your chocolate."

"Okay. Thank you."

After 4.2 seconds, during which they both continue to look at it expectantly, SecUnit gives in. "Treat, I guess."

"Okay, bug," Magnus says, allowing the tower and its basket of Kinder eggs to fall to the godzilla's onslaught so that Sunny can rummage through the basket for SecUnit's treat.

Sunny rummages through the basket until she finds Win's treat, which is the capsule from inside a Kinder Surprise Egg. Inside the capsule is a tiny plastic steamroller, some assembly may be required. "Here you go! Happy Halloweens Win!"

It takes the capsule gravely, with some bafflement. "Uh, thanks." A beat. "You, too."

"I'm pretty sure if you want two treats, Sunny would be more than happy to take care of any more food components for you," Magnus adds in a stage whisper.

"Oh yeah I eat more chocolate for you so you can haves two toys!"

"No, that's okay." It closes its hand, engulfing the plastic capsule, which it plans to evaluate later. "I'm good with this."

"If you say so."

"If you change you mind tomorrow let me know and I bring you another one okay? Send your... um... camera bugs... and say 'oh good morning Sunny I change my mind and I want another present' and then I make Apu and Far and Magnu bring me back okay?"

Camera bugs. Okay, it kind of likes that, actually.

"Acknowledged," it says, in a considerably warmer tone than SecUnit usually says things like that.
