Trick Or Treat... But DON'T Smell Sunny's Feet!!!! [open]

It's Dark now, and Magnus has been preparing. He doesn't want Sunny to get bored or to feel the pervasive lack of the month, and so he's been squirreling away the necessary items for fun. It's not a surprise activity — Sunny has been on board since the very beginning, helping pick out exactly what they need to make it truly exceptional — but it does have a very intensive prep.

Finally, about a week into the month, they reach a point of cabin fever where the time seems right. It's not so intense that they're truly cranky, but they're definitely both in need of some diversion. Apu's cold is waning, and Far's isn't very advanced, and so Sunny allows that she can take a break from playing nurse (a word which here means verrrry carefully but verrrry insistently bringing them both cup after cup of water) to play Halloween instead.

And so, equipped with a closet full of costumes and an enormous basket, they start their rotation of Every Single Door In The Mansion (And All Other Non-Mansion Buildings Where People Live). Magnus knocks loudly, Sunny at his side, poised to say the magic words.

Halloween! In... May. When tagging in, please just get your character to the point of opening the door: we're going to describe Magnunny's costumes in our first tags!

"You gotta say if you want a trick or a treat! Us the trick or treat ghosts!" Of course, they look very different from what actual ghosts look like. If Sunny wanted to look like a real ghost she would need to go borrow someone Shenyan's clothes. She took some artistic liberties with their costume design.

"Dude, don't tell me Ravka doesn't have Halloween." It's actually pretty easy to pretend like he doesn't have major issues with certain people when he's around Sunny.

"We have harvest festivals and I think there is a Saint or two whose portfolio includes spirits," Aleksander answered Magnus, still feeling confused about what exactly was happening here.

He bent down to be eye-level with Sunny. "But if I must say whether I want a trick or a treat then... I chose treat because Dark is enough of a trick."

[biteybaby]

Sunny tries to dig him an egg out of the egg basket, but the bedsheet costume is getting in the way! She is starting to get very frustrated!!

Magnus kneels down and nudges one of the eggs to the side so that it's easier for Sunny to get hold of it.

Aleksander's relationship with Magnus was complicated but it was clear to see they at least had one thing in common and that was love and adoration of Sunny.

He waited patiently for Sunny to give him his treat, a fond smile on his face.

[biteybaby]

"Oh thanks Magnu," she says as she successfully grabs an egg and hands it over to Pusha. "Taa daa!"

"Happy Halloween!"

[temnota]

Aleksander accepted the egg with all the due reverence as if it were a precious jewel entrusted to his safe keeping. He kissed Sunny on the head then said, "Thank you, lapushka."

He rose to his feet then offered a smile to Magnus. "Happy Halloween. Will you two be haunting the others?"

[biteybaby]

"No, got lots of costumes."

[summerdude]

"What's inside?"

[temnota]

Curiously, Aleksander unwrapped the egg, managing not to make too much of a mess as he did so.

[biteybaby]

When he finally gets to the toy, it's a small elephant that squirts water out of its trunk. The water is not included.

"Elephant!" Sunny identifies.

[summerdude]

"Good catch, bug."

[temnota]

"What a precious treasure," Aleksander declared solemnly. "I will take great care of him and keep him safe."

[biteybaby]

"Have you ever saw an elephant before? They are BIG big."

[summerdude]

"So much bigger than the toy."

[temnota]

"A very long time ago in Ahmrat Jen," Aleksander answered. "The herd I saw was very large and very majestic. I didn't like many things there but I loved them."

[biteybaby]

“How many was it?”

[summerdude]

Magnus's eyes narrow. He can't be sure, because he makes a point of avoiding Aleksander as much as possible, but that sounds like an inclusion of detail that probably shouldn't be shared with his baby sister. She's not a therapist, dude! Sure, she's had about a million age-inappropriate jobs, but her job right now is to be a kid! She doesn't need to hear about your bogeyman life experiences!

Aleksander glanced over at Magnus, noting his expression then looked back done at Sunny. His intention was to treat lightly - there was a time that Sunny should know some of his life and what had happened but it certainly wasn't now. "How many years, do you mean, or how many elephants?"
