Trick Or Treat... But DON'T Smell Sunny's Feet!!!! [open]

It's Dark now, and Magnus has been preparing. He doesn't want Sunny to get bored or to feel the pervasive lack of the month, and so he's been squirreling away the necessary items for fun. It's not a surprise activity — Sunny has been on board since the very beginning, helping pick out exactly what they need to make it truly exceptional — but it does have a very intensive prep.

Finally, about a week into the month, they reach a point of cabin fever where the time seems right. It's not so intense that they're truly cranky, but they're definitely both in need of some diversion. Apu's cold is waning, and Far's isn't very advanced, and so Sunny allows that she can take a break from playing nurse (a word which here means verrrry carefully but verrrry insistently bringing them both cup after cup of water) to play Halloween instead.

And so, equipped with a closet full of costumes and an enormous basket, they start their rotation of Every Single Door In The Mansion (And All Other Non-Mansion Buildings Where People Live). Magnus knocks loudly, Sunny at his side, poised to say the magic words.

Halloween! In... May. When tagging in, please just get your character to the point of opening the door: we're going to describe Magnunny's costumes in our first tags!

"Ar ar," Magnus tells Dhakdi, meaning you can lick her awake, if you want.

Dhakdi promptly bounds up to Sunny and starts licking her face, his tail wagging giddily.

Asmodean is just staring at the scene in front of him. "This is... something."

[biteybaby]

Sunny giggles, then wakes up and does a big, very realistic yawn. "Daki?" she says, pretending to not know where she is. "Smodean? Nuszka? How I get here?"

[summerdude]

Magnus blinks. "Ar ar?" he says, which translates into Dadgramore?

[involuntaryturncoat]

"I believe you fell asleep," Asmodean says cautiously, still fairly sure she's pretending but not wanting to fully commit to the opinion. Dhakdi, who is not remotely fooled, keeps licking.

[biteybaby]

"Oh no I so little now! Must have swap with Sunny! And on Halloween too, oh no!"

[summerdude]

"Ar ar!" Magnus says, and resigns himself to his commitment to his costume: He gets on his knees and licks Sunny's cheek.

[involuntaryturncoat]

He's now basically entirely sure that Sunny is pretending, but with any lingering worry out of the way, he feels more comfortable playing along now. "Oh dear. Is there anything I can do to help?"

Dhakdi now gives Magnus a few licks as well, now that he's more accessible.

[biteybaby]

"Uh huh but it a secret, I gotta whisper it!"

[summerdude]

"Ar ar?"

[involuntaryturncoat]

"I see." He dutifully kneels and leans in so Sunny can whisper in his ear.

[biteybaby]

Sunny leans in... and leaves a tiny lil smooch on the side of Asmodean's head, before laughing wildly and announcing, "Tricked you!! I not Apu I just Sunny! You thought I swap but it Halloween, not Swap Day!"

[summerdude]

"Ar ar!" says Magnus, meaning, Good one, bug! (He's also encouraging Dhakdi to give Sunny an approving lick.)

Dhakdi does indeed give Sunny a very enthusiastic lick.

Asmodean's eyebrows rise. "Oh my. Well done. I was thoroughly tricked. And I am a bit relieved that I do not have to go looking for your Apu's body in order to find you."

[biteybaby]

Daki is tickling Sunny, give her a minute to laugh. Once that is over she scrambles over and fishes out an egg for Asmodean. She knows that doggies can't have chocolate, so no egg for Daki, but she did plan ahead and finds the little toy they packed as Daki's surprise. "Here you go Daki!" she sets the toy on the floor beside Daki, "Here you go Smodean!" she hands the egg up to Asmodean.

[summerdude]

"Ar ar," Magnus advises, which means You have to eat it and tell us what toy you got.

[involuntaryturncoat]

"Thank you," he says solemnly as he takes the egg, sadly not understanding Magnus speaking dog.

Dhakdi, of course, understands, and jumps up against Asmodean's shins to try to transmit the message.

[biteybaby]

"No Daki, chocolate not for doggies, you gotta play with your toy!" She doesn't want Daki to eat the egg and get sick!

[summerdude]

Magnus leans down to Dhakdi and whispers a few more sentences in Dog, reiterating that chocolate isn't safe but that he should definitely find a way to get Asmodean to realize that he needs to share what toy he got inside.

Dhakdi listens to Magnus and crouches to poke his toy with his nose before jumping back on Asmodean's shins, staring up at him expectantly. He repeats this back and forth a couple of times as Asmodean stares, bemused. "What?"

[biteybaby]

"Daki have a toy and you have a toy! What toy you have, Smodean?"

[summerdude]

"Ar ar!"

[involuntaryturncoat]

"Let me find out." He unwraps the egg and looks at the chocolate inside. "I presume it's further in." Cracking open the chocolate, he finds the capsule and pops it open.

[biteybaby]

"What is that?" Asmodean seems to have received shapes. "Oh no, I think you got a broked toy."

[summerdude]

"Ar ar!" Magnus says, and then leans in close to Sunny and whispers, "It's for drawing pictures."
