It's Dark now, and Magnus has been preparing. He doesn't want Sunny to get bored or to feel the pervasive lack of the month, and so he's been squirreling away the necessary items for fun. It's not a surprise activity — Sunny has been on board since the very beginning, helping pick out exactly what they need to make it truly exceptional — but it does have a very intensive prep.

Finally, about a week into the month, they reach a point of cabin fever where the time seems right. It's not so intense that they're truly cranky, but they're definitely both in need of some diversion. Apu's cold is waning, and Far's isn't very advanced, and so Sunny allows that she can take a break from playing nurse (a word which here means verrrry carefully but verrrry insistently bringing them both cup after cup of water) to play Halloween instead.

And so, equipped with a closet full of costumes and an enormous basket, they start their rotation of Every Single Door In The Mansion (And All Other Non-Mansion Buildings Where People Live). Magnus knocks loudly, Sunny at his side, poised to say the magic words.

Halloween! In... May. When tagging in, please just get your character to the point of opening the door: we're going to describe Magnunny's costumes in our first tags!

"Daki dancing!"

"Ar ar," Magnus clarifies, making a circle with his body around Dhakdi to bring the message home.

He watches the two of them thoughtfully, at least until Dhakdi stops and licks Magnus's face, and then he looks back at the shapes.

"I think you might use them to guide a pen or pencil to make patterns."

"Ohhh, tracing." That makes sense. You can trace the shapes and then you drew a shape!

"Ar ar!" Magnus nods.

He nods. "I see. Thank you both. For both the trick and the treat."

"You welcome Smodean! Hey, did you knowed that I'm wearing a you costume?"

"Ar ar!" Magnus says, which means I'm Dhakdi!

"Ah, so you are. You did look familiar for some reason, and that explains it quite handily."

Dhakdi, however, yaps back at Magnus. No, that's me!!!!

"Uh huh us gots the same hairs and my outfit's really fancy! I bet maybe nobody can tell us apart."

"Ar ar," Magnus explains to Dhakdi, a phrase which here means 'I'm only pretending to look like you.'

Dhakdi gets it now! He bounces happily and licks Magnus's face in acknowledgment before returning to playing with his toy.

"Anyone seeing you would surely think it was me," Asmodean confirms to Sunny.

"Maybe later us can go prank people together."

Magnus settles on the floor to give Dhakdi a good scratching. It's, like, dog-grooming-dog behavior or whatever.

"A wonderful idea. Everyone will be utterly confused until we let them know the truth."

Dhakdi absolutely Loves a good scratching. He rolls over to get belly rubs.

"Maybe you walk into one room but then I walk out of another room and nobody know how Smodean went from one room to the other like that."

"Ar ar," Magnus says, which means, it'll have to be two doors in the same room or else they won't be able to see you change out. Good luck on translating that one, Dhakdi!

Dhakdi keeps playing with his toy. Lap can probably figure out the strategy himself.

"Remarkable plan. I would be happy to help you carry it out."

"Okay! Maybe in one week?"

"Ar ar," a phrase which here means 'do you want me to remind you in a week, Sunny?'

"An excellent plan, I think. One week."

"Magnu will you tell me when it is one week? I mean. Daki will you tell me when it is one week?"

Dhadki looks up at Sunny upon hearing his name before returning attention to his toy upon realizing she was actually talking to Magnus.

"It's decided, then," says Asmodean.

"Okay us gotta go do more Halloween now."
