Trick Or Treat... But DON'T Smell Sunny's Feet!!!! [open]

It's Dark now, and Magnus has been preparing. He doesn't want Sunny to get bored or to feel the pervasive lack of the month, and so he's been squirreling away the necessary items for fun. It's not a surprise activity — Sunny has been on board since the very beginning, helping pick out exactly what they need to make it truly exceptional — but it does have a very intensive prep.

Finally, about a week into the month, they reach a point of cabin fever where the time seems right. It's not so intense that they're truly cranky, but they're definitely both in need of some diversion. Apu's cold is waning, and Far's isn't very advanced, and so Sunny allows that she can take a break from playing nurse (a word which here means verrrry carefully but verrrry insistently bringing them both cup after cup of water) to play Halloween instead.

And so, equipped with a closet full of costumes and an enormous basket, they start their rotation of Every Single Door In The Mansion (And All Other Non-Mansion Buildings Where People Live). Magnus knocks loudly, Sunny at his side, poised to say the magic words.

Halloween! In... May. When tagging in, please just get your character to the point of opening the door: we're going to describe Magnunny's costumes in our first tags!

"Oh. The science name thing?"

"What if a orchid bee wanna be named something different? What if orchid bee wanna be name Randy? Or Alfred? Or Perdita? Or Ferdinand? Or Lacey? Or Ricardo? Or Ebony? Or Raven? Or Colleen? Or Emma? Or Mandy? Or Diana? Or Mamoru? Or Millicent? Or Raul Esparza?"

"Yes, it's a scientific name. Binomial nomenclature." Susan regards Sunny closely. "So I expect it's more of a title than a name. What do you think, which other name ought I give this orchid bee crayon?"

"Raul Esparza." Sunny does not know who that is but it sounds like a good name for Susan's crayon toy.

Oh, right. Magnus makes meaningful eye contact with Sunny. When she told him about Susan's offer to have her paint one of the walls in Lancelot's room, Magnus suggested to Sunny that she could be a superspy artist and do a lot of investigative journalism about what it's even like in there.

Sunny locks eyes with Magnu, then says, "When I can do that? You telled me forever ago but never come over to say 'oh Far and Ap--'" She stops herself, then starts again, "'Oh Waetee and Sagamo, you kid is sooooo such good artist when she can come color on my walls to make Lanceot a surprise'. You only bringed us extra grocies." She pauses again, then adds, "Us been eating those grocies, didn't leave them to sit and go bad, don't worry."

"Thank you for letting me know," Susan tells Sunny, very seriously. It is nice to know that the efforts have been useful. "And I actually did speak to your father - with Sagramore. We're just trying to sort out a way for your other father to distract Lancelot with some sort of activity that keeps him busy long enough for you to complete our surprise." This she all says with the same solemnity, expression and tone unwavering. "But perhaps it's best if you and I sort out the date and time on our own, hmm?" And because Susan is a proper grown-up business woman dealing with another proper grown-up business woman, she then suggests, "Have you got any availability next week?"

Susan might be really frustrating most of the time, but Sunny has to admit, she's a very good businesswoman. Probably the second best businesswoman in the whole world. "I can clear my schedule some for next week." She looks at Magnu. "Magnu you can help me amember that please?"

Magnus nods and says, "you got it, boss," and Susan takes out her personal calendar. "Perhaps on Wood," she says, thoughtfully. "After lunch." She turns the page to show Sunny, tapping on each date between now and then. "That's four and a half days away. Are you available then?"
