Trick Or Treat... But DON'T Smell Sunny's Feet!!!! [open]

It's Dark now, and Magnus has been preparing. He doesn't want Sunny to get bored or to feel the pervasive lack of the month, and so he's been squirreling away the necessary items for fun. It's not a surprise activity — Sunny has been on board since the very beginning, helping pick out exactly what they need to make it truly exceptional — but it does have a very intensive prep.

Finally, about a week into the month, they reach a point of cabin fever where the time seems right. It's not so intense that they're truly cranky, but they're definitely both in need of some diversion. Apu's cold is waning, and Far's isn't very advanced, and so Sunny allows that she can take a break from playing nurse (a word which here means verrrry carefully but verrrry insistently bringing them both cup after cup of water) to play Halloween instead.

And so, equipped with a closet full of costumes and an enormous basket, they start their rotation of Every Single Door In The Mansion (And All Other Non-Mansion Buildings Where People Live). Magnus knocks loudly, Sunny at his side, poised to say the magic words.

Halloween! In... May. When tagging in, please just get your character to the point of opening the door: we're going to describe Magnunny's costumes in our first tags!

Crowley's been having a real rough time of it this Dark. It turns out, there's no coffee to be found anywhere. He's found: a spiralizer, a box of agar-agar packets, a small cake that looks like a coffee cup, and a coffee cup of foam that smells like coffee but tastes like liver pate. Not a single drop of coffee. You'd think that a demon wouldn't be affected by such a mortal thing as caffeine withdrawal -- but he's not just any demon, he's a severely under-caffeinated and cranky one.

He opens the door, hair in slight disarray. "What?"

"TRICK OR TREAT!" Sunny says, grinning up at Crowley from inside her Bentley costume. 'Bentley costume' is a phrase which here means 'a cardboard box that has been made to resemble the Bentley, held up by two straps she is wearing over her shoulders'. Magnu is in a similar outfit, except that his is a Tricycle costume instead of a Bentley costume.

"Happy Halloween!" Magnus says, ringing the bell he'd removed from Sunny's tricycle (with firm promises to return it as good as new when they're done).

"Happy Ha--" How long did Crowley nap for? Is this another nineteenth century situation? Wait, they don't even have Halloween here to nap through-- Except apparently now they do. Crowley scrubs at his eyes and makes something like a Ngk sound, but he doesn't really even have the juice for that. After this thrilling internal journey, he finally notices the costumes and gives them an approving nod. "Nice costumes."

[biteybaby]

"Oh thanks! I'm your car!" She runs around in a circle making a car noise.

[summerdude]

"And I'm your car's best friend," Magnus says, ringing the bell again. "It's, like, an analogy."

[aflashbastard]

"An analogy," Crowley repeats, brain still slowly clicking along. He half-heartedly pats Sunny on the head.

[biteybaby]

"That means it like something but not." She stares at Crowley for a moment and then asks, "Crowley, are you sleepy? Is it your nap time?"

[summerdude]

"Wait, do you nap?" Magnus asks, morbidly curious.

[aflashbastard]

"I've been trying to, but I'm too tired to nap," Crowley says, tone irritated. "It's this Dark business. I can't find coffee anywhere. No espresso, no beans, not even the instant kind. If I try and ensorcell it up--" He waves a hand and suddenly, a realistic looking coffee cup¹!

"Take it," he offers Sunny and Magnus, sounding miserable.

¹It's cake.

[biteybaby]

Sunny reaches for the cup, but it smushes into her hand. "Eew!!!!! Smushy cup!" Oh, wait, she looks at her hand. "CUP CAKE!!!"

[summerdude]

"Wild," says Magnus, and pinches off a bit of the side of the cup cake and pops it in his mouth. "There's no coffee in the kitchens? I know Hanguang-jun has a ton of tea..."

[aflashbastard]

"Looked already. Somebody has it out for me," vaguely miserable.

[biteybaby]

"Crowley, want me to drive over and find you a presso?"

[summerdude]

"Wait," Magnus says, leaning over to Sunny. "Do you have a coffee hook-up?"

[aflashbastard]

"She's a rising young entrepreneur, of course she has a coffee hook-up," irritated. He really needs that presso.

[biteybaby]

Sunny can't go to a kitchen by herself though, because she's not allowed to be alone. "Let's go together and I find you a presso."

[summerdude]

"Only if you make the appropriate car noises on the way," Magnus says.

[aflashbastard]

Probably best to leave Aziraphale alone for a bit. "Let's go."

[biteybaby]

Sunny starts walking down the hallway making the appropriate car noises, a phrase which here means, 'brrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrr crrrrrrrrk weooooooooooooooooosh "Get outta way!" brrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrrr beep beep! vrmmmmmmmmmmmmm brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!'

"You know what?" Magnus says to Crowley, sotto voce. "I bet she'd be able to handle the Boston streets, no problem."

[aflashbastard]

"Streets of Manchester too," Crowley agrees.

[biteybaby]

"Where that?"

[summerdude]

"It's one of the suburbs. It has a squeaky beach."

[aflashbastard]

Close enough. When they arrive at the kitchen, Crowley demonstratively opens a few of the cabinets where he can typically find either coffee grounds or coffee beans. In one of them, a sphere that looks like a bubble except when you pop it... the faintest essence of coffee. In another, what looks like a bag of coffee beans... except it's cake! A no bake coffee Jell-O¹ cake to be specific.
