Look, It's Been A Really Weird Week [closed post]

Magnus's day is already pretty thrown off, between surprise Hanguang-jun morning hangs (definitely positive) and coming clean to Alex about training with Lancelot (mostly positive), which led directly to Alex coming along to afternoon training (weird, but ultimately extremely good), so that he can... vet Lancelot??? Have a fun little spar with Magnus???? Tease them both mercilessly??? Anyway, it's fun! It feels kind of like the best part of old times, except Magnus is actually kind of good now that he's had formal training, and even though he knows Alex, like, super well, Alex is always a wildcard with fighting, and it's nice to have things shaken up in training now that Magnus is also getting used to how Lancelot fights.

All this to say that he somehow hasn't seen Galahad yet, even though usually by now he's spent several hours with Galahad. So after dinner, he heads back up to the Mansion with the dual purposes of finding (1) Galahad and (2) art supplies for his next time-sensitive project.

"Oh, I don't know that meme, will you explain it to me?"

Galahad flips his sketchbook open to the Sailor Moon comic. "He says he's helped, but he hasn't done anything."

The sketch does help considerably in getting Magnus to make the connection, and he laughs. "What else did you guys do together?" Surely it was precisely as normal as what Magnus and Shen Yuan's Evil Twin did together!!!

"I asked about his family. And I gave him a makeover."

"What kind of makeover?"

[onthewillowsthere]

"I chose clothes for him and did his makeup."

[summerdude]

"Oh, that's so nice." For a second, a full living Technicolor recreation of Magnus's time with Shen Yuan's evil twin dances behind his eyes, and he winces. "We also did stuff with clothes. Um. Maybe. If you squint."

"Did you ask him about his dick?"

[summerdude]

"Galahad," says Magnus, hiding his bright red face by leaning his forehead against Galahad's shoulder. "I took pictures of it."

There is no amount of dignity in the world that Galahad can summon. He lets out an embarrassing little yelp of laughter.

"Not just his dick," Magnus says, not lifting his head. "It was, like, all of him. Both sides. So I can double check the, like, um, growth. And in my defense he did agree it was, like, a normal thing to ask and do."

"He's Shen Yuan," Galahad points out. Of course he acted like it was a normal thing to do. "Did he ask to see yours?"

"........................................yeah."

He nods with satisfaction. Classic Shen Yuan. "Very normal for friends," solemnly.

"Are you trolling me?"

[onthewillowsthere]

"Yes."

[summerdude]

Okay, okay. This has Magnus lifting his head and laughing. "I didn't want to tell him he died so I told him I was making him a sexy plant outfit from that book, as a surprise, and that's why," he groans. "It was all so silly."

"What did he say?"

[summerdude]

"He was surprised by the kinks that it implied? Not really clear on the details. Honestly I didn't want to ask." Magnus pulls back far enough that he can lick away the bits of his popsicle that are getting drippy.

Galahad laughs. "I like the red bits best."

[summerdude]

"Of your popsicle? I knew you would," Magnus says, fond. He leans his head against Galahad's shoulder again. "Wanna try the mangonada?"

[onthewillowsthere]

"What's in it?"

[summerdude]

"Mango, obviously. And then there's... it's called chamoy, it's, like, salty-sweet-sour-spicy sauce? And tajin. Tajin is a chili lime salt." He takes a lick. "You could try just outside one of the red bits? That's mostly mango but you'll still get a sense of the other stuff cuz it's close."

"I'll try it." Magnus won't be bothered if he doesn't like it.

He sure won't! He holds out the popsicle.
